Registration and arrival
Registration is open from 08:00 to 08:45 on Thursday 29 April 2027, and the conference starts promptly afterwards. Please have your e-ticket ready on your phone; there’s no need to print it. We recommend arriving in Copenhagen on Wednesday 28 April, so you’re not relying on early flights or trains on the first morning.
Getting here
From Copenhagen Airport
There are two easy routes from Terminal 3. Both need a 3-zone ticket, or a Copenhagen Card or DOT City Pass.
By train (about 15 minutes): Take a regional or InterCity train from the station beneath Terminal 3 to Copenhagen Central Station (København H). Leave the station by the Tietgensgade / Reventlowsgade exit and cross the street; the venue is right in front of you.
By metro (about 20–25 minutes): If trains are delayed or cancelled, take the M2 metro towards Vanløse and change at Kongens Nytorv onto the M3 or M4 to København H. From the metro platforms, follow the signs for the Tietgensgade exit.
By train or metro across the city
Take any regional train, S-train or the M3 or M4 metro lines to København H, then follow the signs for the Tietgensgade exit. Alternatively, take an S-train to Dybbølsbro, which is about a 10-minute walk along Tietgensgade.
By bus
Lines [5C, 2A, 31 and 68: check] stop near Central Station or on Tietgensgade.
By bike
The venue sits on major cycle routes through Vesterbro and the Meatpacking District (Kødbyen). Copenhagen is one of the world’s best cities to cycle in, so it’s a great way to get around.
By car
There is no parking on site. However, as the venue is beside the central station, we encourage everyone to use public transport.
Where to stay
Our partner hotel
We’ve secured a discounted rate at [CPH Hotel], right next to the conference venue. Twin and double rooms are available, with breakfast included. Book directly with the hotel [here] using the code [CODE]. Rooms at this rate are limited and will go quickly, so we recommend booking as early as possible.
Other options in Copenhagen
Once our partner hotel rooms are sold out, you’ll need to arrange your own accommodation. Late April is a busy time in Copenhagen, so we recommend booking early.
The venue is beside Central Station, so anywhere with good train, metro or bus links is easy to reach. Good areas to look include:
Vesterbro: right next to the venue, with lots of hotels, cafés and restaurants; you can walk to the conference
Indre By (city centre): central and lively, about 10–15 minutes’ walk away
Frederiksberg: quieter and leafy, a short metro or bus ride away
Nørrebro: creative and good value, a short bike or bus ride away
On a budget? Copenhagen has several well-rated hostels near the centre with private rooms as well as dorms, so it’s worth a look if you’re on a concession ticket or a student budget.
Accessibility
The CPH Conference Center is fully wheelchair accessible:
step-free entrances and ramps
lifts to all floors

accessible parking nearby
If you need hearing assistance or any other support, please email Connie at constance@citizenzoo.org before the event, and we’ll do our best to help.
On the day
Food: Lunch, tea, coffee and refreshments are included on both days. All food is vegetarian and prepared in-house. If you have allergies or other dietary requirements, please email constance@citizenzoo.org before the event.
Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue. We’ll share the details on the day.
Cloakroom: An unstaffed cloakroom is available on site.
Smoking and vaping: Not permitted inside the building, but allowed in designated outdoor areas.
What to bring: Your e-ticket, a notebook or laptop, a reusable water bottle, layers (Copenhagen in late April can be cool), and plenty of questions.
Making a weekend of it
If you’re staying on, here are a few of our favourite things to do in Copenhagen:
Tivoli Gardens: the historic pleasure gardens, right behind the conference venue
Nyhavn and the harbour: the colourful waterfront, best seen from a canal boat tour
Rosenborg Castle and the King’s Garden: a Renaissance castle in the city’s oldest park
CopenHill: walk up the ski slope on top of a waste-to-energy plant for views across the city
Explore by bike: hire one and ride the city like a local
You can also join our optional field trip to Saksfjed Wilderness on Saturday 1 May. See the [Buy Tickets page].
